Maldives Honeymoon Packages from Bangalore

By Curate Your Vacation · Updated September 2026

The Maldives is the shortest genuinely exotic honeymoon a Bangalore couple can take — a direct flight of a little over two hours, and you are on a resort island the same afternoon. This page covers what it costs from Bangalore, how the transfers work, and how to pick between an overwater villa and a local island.

We are actually in Bangalore. Our Bangalore office plans these trips in person. You can sit across a desk from the person handling your honeymoon instead of speaking to a call centre.

Flights from Bangalore to Maldives

Bangalore is one of the easiest Indian cities to fly to the Maldives from — direct flights to Malé take a little over two hours. That short hop matters more than it sounds: you can leave Bangalore in the morning and be on a resort island by afternoon, so a five-night honeymoon really is five nights, not three and two travel days.

Departure airport: Kempegowda International Airport (BLR). Fares and schedules move constantly, so treat every figure on this page as a planning range rather than a quote — we price the actual dates you give us.

Plan the arrival, not just the flight. Seaplane transfers in the Maldives only fly in daylight. If your flight lands in Malé late afternoon, the resort will usually put you in an airport hotel for the night at your own cost — so the cheap late flight often is not the cheap option. We check the resort's transfer window before we book the airfare, not after.

What a Maldives honeymoon costs

The Maldives has no single price, because the resort island you pick changes everything. These are the bands we actually quote in, per couple for five nights:

TypeTotal cost (per couple)
Budget — local-island guesthouse plus day trips₹1,00,000–1,40,000
Mid-range — 4-star all-inclusive resort₹2,20,000–3,20,000
Luxury — 5-star overwater villa₹4,50,000–8,00,000
Ultra-luxury — Soneva, Cheval Blanc and similar₹10,00,000+

Those figures exclude airfare from Bangalore. We quote the resort and the transfer together, because a speedboat island and a seaplane island at the same nightly rate are not the same price once you land.

Best time to travel

The dry north-east monsoon, roughly November to April, is the Maldives' peak season and the most reliable for weather — and the most expensive, particularly over Christmas and New Year. May and October sit on the shoulder and can be 20 to 30 per cent cheaper for weather that is still mostly good.

Visa

Every visitor to the Maldives, Indian passport holders included, receives a free 30-day visa on arrival. You need a passport valid for at least six months, a confirmed resort booking and a return ticket.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Maldives honeymoon cost from Bangalore?

For five nights, budget roughly ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,40,000 per couple on a local island, ₹2,20,000 to ₹3,20,000 for a mid-range all-inclusive resort, and ₹4,50,000 upwards for an overwater villa. Direct return flights from Bangalore to Malé are typically ₹25,000 to ₹45,000 per couple.

Is there a direct flight from Bangalore to Maldives?

Yes. Bangalore has direct flights to Malé taking a little over two hours, which makes it one of the quickest international honeymoons from India.

Do Indians need a visa for the Maldives?

No advance visa is needed. Every visitor gets a free 30-day visa on arrival, provided you have six months of passport validity, a confirmed resort booking and a return ticket.

Can we do the Maldives on a smaller budget?

Yes. Local-island guesthouses on islands like Maafushi or Dhigurah bring a five-night honeymoon down to around ₹1,00,000 to ₹1,40,000 per couple. You lose the overwater villa, you keep the water. We are happy to quote it honestly either way.
